The Core Management Group (CMG) is comprised of the heads of all verticals to provide strategic direction to the Organization. As part of its responsibility to monitor each project, and provide feedback and support where required, the CMG meets every month for review meetings with the project teams.

As one of the founders of PANI he dedicated his life to social welfare at a young age and has fought against casteism, communalism, and other forms of discrimination. As secretary of PANI he is leading organisation and inspiring many social workers in India.

Shashi Bhushan is a social activist inspired by the Gandhian Ideology of integrated rural development. He is associated with PANI since 1996 as grassroot worker and social activist. In PANI he has coordinated four projects, two focused on health issues and other two on women rights and livelihood issues. He is leading a network of 469 grassroot level organizations through umbrella organization SATHI (Supporting Association for Thematic and Holistic Initiative) to catalyze the development process in underdeveloped regions of Uttar Pradesh.

Deo Datt Singh is an agri-business expert. He has 20 years of progressive experience in leading development projects and managing agri- and allied programmes. He has managed private sector-led agriculture development programs for Indian agro-industry and international development organizations. He has been involved in business development, project development and monitoring & evaluation of agricultural programs. He specializes in ecological farming, climate change, rural economic development, policy and programs for agribusiness, and rural enterprise development & management. He has worked with several not for profit and for-profit companies. He holds Master’s degree in Plant Pathology from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.

Jagdish Giri is science graduate from Allahabad University. He is of 49 years and has been passionately working in development sector from last 22 years. His mission is to empower the poor and marginalized to improve their living conditions in the underdeveloped regions of Uttar Pradesh and India. His core competencies are project life cycle management, resource mobilization/fundraising, partnership management and organization development. He is having vast and progressive experience of developing, implementing and managing many community-based projects on issues of women & adolescent girls’ empowerment, integrated community development, community healthcare and livelihood development. He is Head-Programs and Member of Core Management Group (CMG) at People’s Action for National Integration-PANI. He also heads the Women & Adolescent Girls Empowerment and Health & Sanitation thematic verticals at PANI.

Shashank K Gupta has been working with PANI since October 2001. He is a passionate development professional working with non-governmental organizations in areas of IT, Admin, procurement and travel facilities. He is responsible for: IT functions at organization level; administrative functions at head office level; procurement of goods and services; managing travel desk; providing secretarial support to organization’s Governing Board and chief functionary; support to other Core Management Group-CMG Members in resource mobilization related work; Desk Top Publishing (DTP) work; branding initiatives; organizing events such as, conferences, convention, workshops, meetings etc. He is a post-Graduate in Sociology and PG Degree in computer applications.

Pathani Behera has been working with PANI since January 1996 and heads Finance and Legal Compliances Division at PANI. He is responsible for : Budgeting and financial management at project & organization level; ensuring Legal Compliances; Auditing (Both external and internal); Financial monitoring of projects being implemented at various locations; facilitating due-diligence and pre-funding appraisal of organization by potential donors/funding agencies; fulfilling requirements of current funding partners; Capacity building inputs to account personnel of finance division; secretarial support to chief functionary in Governance related functions.

Vinay Sharma (has been working with PANI since 2007. He has thorough understanding about financial management, accounting and legal compliances of not for-profit entities. At PANI, he is responsible to: Oversee the development, implementation and consistent adherence of human resource policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with all Legal, HR and administrative guidelines at country level; Implement procedural, policy changes in HR and administration to improve PANi’s operational efficiency; develop HR solutions through combination of cultural and process-oriented perspectives; assess organization talent needs and develop programs that promotes employee training and advancement through innovative techniques; lead employee development to ensure that the organization maintains high-caliber talent across roles and functions; design and implement office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards and make necessary adjustments; maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures; prepare payroll; design filing systems; review and approve supply requisitions. Assign and monitor staff functions; recruiting, onboarding, and training employees; vendor development, facility management as well as administration to improve operational efficiency.

Anoop Kumar is an agri-business expert. He has over 21 years of progressive experience in leading development projects and managing livelihood and women empowerment programs in India. He is an expert in end-to-end project management and execution lifecycle and has worked with prominent philanthropic organisations such as, Tata Trusts, HUL Foundation, SDTT. He holds Master’s degree in Science (Agriculture with specialization in Animal Nutrition) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttrakhand, India He is fluent in English and Hindi.
Mukesh Sadana

Mukesh Sadana has more than 22 years of rich experience in successfully designing and managing large projects, and leading multi-sectoral teams. He is an expert in digital financial services, rural banking, policy, regulation, program design, implementation, and management, risk analysis, and risk management. He has worked with leading financial institutions, mobile network operators, regulators, aggregators, government ministries & departments, and donor agencies in more than twelve countries in India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Malawi, U.S.A., and Belgium. Mukesh comes with a deep understanding of distribution channels, financial products, and consumer behaviour. He has strong analytical and writing skills, and has conducted multiple trainings for central banks, regulators, and corporates. Mukesh has led the development of digital banking strategy for new deployments; developed roadmaps for government agencies and regulators; designed financial products to be delivered over digital financial services platforms, facilitated the rollout process; and has conducted large sector wide studies for international donors. Mukesh holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA).

Reema has Over 16 years of experience in the field of research, advisory, program and project management, training & capacity development, strategic business planning & implementation in the fields of social and financial Inclusion, Digital Financial Services and livelihood promotion. At PANI, Reema manges key client accounts for projects focussing on livelihoods enhancement, women empowerment, social protection, government entitlements, financial inclusion and climate change. Prior to PANI, she has worked with multiple organisations such as, MSC Consulting, Srei Sahaj E-Village limited, FINO (now a payment bank), Evalueserve.com Pvt. Ltd. She is fluent in English and Hindi languages. She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing and Information Technology from GGS Indraparastha University, Delhi.
